1. EDUCATORS

Educators at the Karoussos Center, play a vital role in igniting curiosity and fostering a love of learning through our diverse educational programs. The person will have the opportunity to share their knowledge and passion for [Byzantine art] with audiences of all ages and backgrounds, inspiring them to explore the wonders of our collections and exhibitions.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging educational programs, such as tours, workshops, lectures, and family activities, aligned with the institution's curriculum guidelines.

Tailor programs to cater to different age groups, learning styles, and interests.

Foster interactive learning environments that encourage exploration, critical thinking, and dialogue.

Utilize effective communication and storytelling techniques to captivate and inspire audiences.

Collaborate with the Academic Board to ensure programs connect with the institution's collections and exhibitions.

Stay informed about current trends in museum education and integrate innovative approaches into the programmes.

Contribute to the continued development and evaluation of educational programs.

Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Art History, Education, or a related field (experience may be substituted for education in some cases).

Experience working with diverse audiences in a museum or educational setting (a plus).

Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.

Focus on Byzantine cultural heritage
-
Ability to develop engaging and interactive lesson plans.

Enthusiasm for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Fluency in Greek and English language.

1. CULTURAL MANAGER
The Cultural Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and continued success of the Karoussos Center. The person will oversee all aspects of the center's day-to-day functions and contribute to the strategic development of our programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:​

Oversee the center's daily operations, including programming, budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and facilities management.

Manage a team of staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Cultivate strong relationships with artists, educators, performers, and other community partners.

Secure funding opportunities through grants, fundraising initiatives, and sponsorships to support the center's programs and activities.

Develop and implement engaging public programs, events, and exhibitions that reflect the community's diverse interests.

Oversee marketing and communications efforts to raise awareness of the center's offerings and attract visitors.

Manage the center's budget effectively and ensure financial stability.

Stay current on trends in cultural programming and best practices in cultural center management.

Represent the cultural center at community events and meetings.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Arts Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Proven track record of success in developing and implementing engaging cultural programs.

Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Experience in budgeting, fundraising, and financial management.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Passion for the arts and cultural engagement.
